George Reed, Inc is taking several steps to help reduce the spread of COVID-19, while keeping our commitment to protect the health and safety of our customers and our employees.

We take this obligation very seriously.

We remain open for business at this time with a special focus on our critical mission of maintaining a safe workplace for all we encounter during the course of our work. We ask that our customers respect the safe space that we are all working under for your safety and for our most important asset, our employees.

There are no plans to stop, or suspend construction because of this health crisis at this time. Workers who support the construction of critical, or strategic infrastructure are considered essential by the Department of Homeland Security and have a special responsibility to maintain a normal work schedule. With our partners in industry, we will strive to keep all your projects on schedule.

Throughout this crisis, George Reed, Inc remains in constant contact with all our government agencies and our associations which have been essential during this time.

As public awareness is key during the spread of this coronavirus, we have also begun sharing safety information with all our customers and will continue to partner with our customers to make sure their employees are safe and our employees can do their job with safe distancing.

We will continue to ask all our business partners and our employees to follow commonsense guidelines of maintaining 6 foot distant, washing your hands, covering your mouth when you cough and staying home when you’re sick. We will continue to add information as it changes for any information please use https://www.cdc.gov

George Reed, Inc is an essential business in the construction industry. With that distinction comes a huge responsibility that our company is prepared to meet while making sure we do our jobs safely for all our customers, and all George Reed, Inc employees.

May 30, 2018 | By | No Comments

George Reed had the construction division’s annual safety refresher training. Guest speakers included were Randy Tilford of BRI, Ron Kutzman of All Rigging.  Officer Pulido and Officer Olsen of CHP. Randy presented the employees with some insightful environmental hazard training covering emergency spills. Ron presented the employees with in-depth rigging knowledge. The CHP officers taught on a very important topic to us and that is distracted driving and how to avoid becoming a victim. The safety department covered the mandatory OSHA topics presented by Matt Smylie.

Construction Zone Flagger Training Class

March 11, 2017 | By | 3 Comments

The construction flagger is the first person that you encounter on a roadway jobsite and is often thought of as a “kick back” job. In actuality it is one of the most important and difficult positions on the jobsite. A flagger has a vital role in helping to protect their co-workers as well as the traveling public from the dangers and hazards that are present in highway and road construction projects.

George Reed employees recently participated in classes and are now certified flaggers for the upcoming construction season. We are looking forward to another busy and successful year. We are confident that our flaggers will keep our workers safe as well as the motorists they happen to encounter. Please feel free to wave at the flaggers as you pass through our jobsites and remember that they are there for the safety everyone.
