GR’s Safety is Solid: MSHA Inspections Passed!
We had two MSHA inspections in the last week, the first being at Munn & Perkins. The inspection began on Thursday, May 7th and concluded on Tuesday, May 12th. The second was at Table Mountain beginning Wednesday, May 13th and concluding Thursday, May 14th. There were NO Citations issued during either of these inspections. This is a strong testament to the dedication to safety by Ramon Lopez and Frank Rocha and their troops. This follows the no citation inspection at Jackson Valley Quarry two weeks ago.
This completes all of our MSHA inspections for this fiscal year. Last year, we made tremendous progress in reducing our citation rate at all three Plants resulting in 4 no citation inspections and a total of 4 minor citations for the year. This year we have surpassed last year’s great accomplishment; of the 6 inspection, 5 resulted in no citation inspections and ending the year with only 2 minor citations, of which only one was issued to the plants.
Without the dedication of all the troops at the plants, from management on down, this level of excellence would be unachievable. It takes everyone working together, communicating, and respect for each other to continue in maintaining this culture of success. Let’s keep moving forward in creating a better and safer work place. Congratulations!
